Arguing about Ancient Greek translations is like arguing about which turd one should eat.

Looks good. Well-designed and you chose the right translations to compare.

That said, it's hard to compare translations using little bits. For example, I prefer Lattimore, but in a brief sample of his translation it may come off as awkward. You might think Fagles is better because his sample is more immediately coherent and flows better. But Lattimore is more accurate than Fagles, and what sounds awkward will sound fine and good and beautiful when you're actually reading it, after you've adjusted to the style.

Also: a work of literature's effects take place over a long period. In samples this translator might impress you, but the work as a whole might have worked better for you with another one.
