Why doesn't /lit/ like to see ol googly eyes for the massively important and influential 20th century thinker he was? Is it cause everyone just read Nausea and called it a day, forgetting his large body of philosophical texts?

I personally take him seriously. That being said, Being and Nothingness isn't the easiest read in the world, so many people probably just dropped it and moved onto whatever right-wing nutjob is "hot" at the moment
