i want to read

i am tired of playing video games all day, i want to improve my person. one way i wish to do this is reading

tell me how. I've seen the /lit/ starter pack and am probably going with all of those eventually. what else do I need to know. I want to get sucked in.

the last 3 books I've read were Catcher in the Rye, a collection of Lovecraft, and A Moveable Feast. what's next after that? I've got The Prophet lined up next but that can change. What do I need to do to get to the point where I feel confident in my well-read-ed-ness (?)?
