It just depends on what kind of reader you are, I personally love audio books, but I prefer to read unless I'm listening to some pulpy fiction.

If there are too many dialogues it can ruin your experience, especially in the climax.
In reading comprehension is better, but I listen to audiobooks on the bus everyday, it's better than not reading at all. I also usually re-read the chapters in text, later.
