What do you think of this bad boy here?
Great book. But it's written by a black man, so people will try to take shots at it here or completely dismiss it.
Shameless rip off the HG Wells version, but with less invisible dicks
5/10 book only popular because it was written by a darkie.

>bought it when i was young thinking it was a thriller about an actual invisible man
Wasn't disappointed though. I think its fairly over rated, however

One of the best North American novels of its period, along with Augie March and Seize the Day.

Need to read it sometime, been dying to get my hands on a copy but it's likely to just wait in my backlog for a while

well, it's in the starterkit alongside the likes of catch 22 and twain, so...

boring, sentimental, uninspired, american trash

Poor man's Notes from the Underground. Not bad, worth a read, but also not the savior of American literature that some people seem to treat it as.

Amyone who claims they enjoyed this book is lying to you.

Very good, probably the best book ever written by a black man. Also commonly misunderstood, though not very complex.
awesome book

well, I did (op)
During some of it I was listening to Miles Davis and I legit tripped
He has some really interesting metaphores. I felt that was the best part of the book, along with the dialogues

Seems to be more about human relations than race itself...
Also, a very good prediction of the future. Black people are still used by higher up to get votes and advance their agendas.
