Should I read Eros and The Mysteries of Love or The Yoga of Power first? The two seem to be at least tangentially related, so would having a background in one help me understand the other?
>>
The alt-right has poisoned the minds of young white male virgins.

Julius Evola will not make you clever. He was an insane Italian aristocrat who didn't believe in science or evolution.
>>
Also, go read some serious political philosophy and cut out the fucking racist /pol/ shit.

None of this bullshit will make you smarter or help you have sex. Go study or do something you should be doing.
>>

The earliest english translations of Evola's work were done by apolitical spiritualistic types. These are the translations I'm reading.
Just because /pol/ spergs out and pretends something is /theirguy/ doesn't mean that thing should be abandoned.
>>9949580
These aren't his political works, they are studies of folklore and mythology, topics on which I find him to be a reputable source. I only read Evola's texts on politics as a historic curiosity, viewing his rightist tendencies as a natural product of him synthesizing his own aristocratic heritage to the fascistic politics of his time.
>>
What do you think of Guenon and Eliade, OP?
>>
>>9949665
Guenon wasted his time trying to purely embody the brahmin varna (clerical caste), not realizing that the brahmin (priest) and kshatriya (warrior) are just different aspects of the aristocrat/king. Essentially, just as Evola preferred the Ghibbellines, so Guenon would be on the side of the Guelphs.

As for Eliade, I hadn't heard of him until now, and his body of work seems to dense for me to give a cursory opinion based on wikipedia.

Learn to spell. Speaking about rape apologist and racist Julius Evola whilst being immensely pretentious makes you sound like a prick. Not being able to spell whilst doing that makes you sound like a dumb prick.
>>
>>9949741
>talking about evola
>without being pretentious
Reading any of his books will make you talk like a prick because he writes like a prick, but it's better than forming opinions without reading them. Also:
>confusing typos and spelling errors

Revolt Against The Modern World is probably the best place to start.

such intense autism. /leftypol/ perhaps?

I'm the OP and you replied to me, kek.

Anyway, will anyone actually answer my question, or should I just continue with The Yoga of Power?
>>
>>9949804
As I said, Revolt Against The Modern World is probably the best place to start. Then you can move onto Ride the Tiger and Men Among the Ruins. Fascism Viewed From the Right if you want a very unique take on Fascism. Notes on the Third Reich if you want a radical traditionalist critique of National Socialism. I've never read Yoga of Power myself so I can't speak to that. There is an infographic floating about somewhere which recommends the order in which you should read his entire work but I can't seem to find it.

Other than that, here's a talk which should get you acquainted with some of his ideas:

I am plenty informed on his politics, and Bowden is a terrible place to get opinions on Evola. The focus should be on mythology and esoteric initiatory tradition, with reference to administrative forms from before the investiture controversy, not the perspective of an ex-Tory on the European New-Right.
>>
>>9949566
is it just me or is the word "tangentially" used a lot round these parts?

go back to wherever normies are that isnt here

Wait nevermind it's more like tumblr

Not him, but Bowden's TLDR of Evola and the differences between him and the other intellectuals of the Traditionalist school is actually bretty gud
