Slint - Spiderland

Where are the dudes? Also, Spiderland is crap. Only song that is half decent is Breadcrumb Trail.
>>9947129
>I'm trying to find my way home
>I'm sorry
>I miss you
>>9947167
>I swear, I'll make it up to you
>>9947162
Think the value isn't as much in spiderland's quality, but the fact that it came out of the blue from a bunch of teenagers in a basement and brought us to Godspeed, which *was* good

So, what's the equivalent of this album?
>>9947239
oh my god, spiderland is miles ahead of godspeed and every turgid crescendocore second and third wave variant of a genre it actually helped pioneer and innovate
>>9947274
Depends what you're looking for. I never really loved the mundane-made-heavy lyrics off spiderland, much prefer the weird homeless ramblings in pic related
>>9947305
well maybe your problem is listening to post-rock for the lyrical content in the first place
Quite possible. I enjoyed Slint more before learning the lyrics, as the vocal delivery fits really well even if the content doesn't always. Think they benefited by falling apart at their creative peak, rather than sticking around for the sake of it like godspeed has
>>9947274
but jeremiah green is in godspeed. so you're wrong.

the modest mouse drummer? uh i don't think so
what does it matter anyway
