People pay them to have ideas for everyone else. They're literally idea guys. You can ignore them, if you want, but that requires you come up with your own ideas, which is hard.

The time where he admitted his stance on surveillance was bad etc after being confronted by the listeners of his podcasts spring to mind. Or his change of stance on the death penalty. Just off the top of my head.

True, Hitchens seemed so unhappy, Dawkins is always angry, Harris sounds so braindead I can't listen to that flat voice for more than five minutes
