OP here. I made this thread because I just finished the first book in that this trilogy. Don't typically read SF (or at least I haven't in years), but I enjoyed it quite a bit, so I'll be reading the other two. I went in cold on a recommendation, so yeah, it's absolutely worth checking out especially if you are already interested in it.

I've read "Bloodchild" which is not a very long read, and I really enjoyed it. I also liked "Parable of the Sower" and its sequel "Parable of the Talents", though I found it devastating.
