what's the problem? ecclesiastes is borderline apatheist, if not crypto-atheist. it sits so poorly with the christian tradition that many people want to make its inclusion in the OT ironical, or for didactic purposes, with the 12th chapter 'showing up' the teacher for his 'false wisdom.' the book straight up claims that god's will doesn't matter, and that man is just an animal.
