I'm interested in accelerationism , what are some books on this subject?
I'm looking for Book like this other book I just read - Fanged Noumena
What are the essential books about the work of Nick Land, Cyber Culture, and Artificial Intelligence?
I want to get into reading these sorts of books, which ones should I start with?

You just... *accelerates* gotta go... *meltdown* fast dude... praise gnon hehe
>>
fuck reading. cryogenically freeze your central nervous system and wait for technology to advance to where they can implant 'you' into a sweet, super-powered android body.

fully-automated luxury neocameralism whennnnnnn amirite fellas?

I suppose this wouldn't be the worst start:

I've been meaning to bring this up for a while

I'm digging Jacobite. Like, a fucking lot. Every single article I've read on there has been at least "pretty good". I'm not an ideologue, and I don't really identify with any modern "right wing" political movements. But everything on Jacobite from libertarianism, monarchism to whatever you call Land's pieces have been exceedingly enjoyable.

I can't find any info on the origins of the site or anything regarding recruitment for their writers. I'd like to know a bit more of the background that went into it. Also, am I a fucking pleb for enjoying these articles this much?

If you like Jacobite you'll probably like socialmatter.net and thermidormag.com as well. Jacobite would be more on the Techno-Commercialist side while the two sites I mentioned are more on the Traditionalist side but there's quite a bit of crossover.

No, why would you be?

Nick is the man.

Thanks anon. I'm still not sure if I've actually sincerely grown fond of the right, but my distaste for essentially all leftist politics/philosophy/economics is so strong that I can't help but seek out opinions that I already hold. Call me anti-intellectual

None of them are especially rigorous.

Superintelligence by Nick Bostrom is really informative about the dangers of AI. Not directly related to acceleration though.
>>
>>9926849
Dunno, but maybe you could try reading Future Shock by Alvin Toffler for some historical context.
>>
Malign Velocities and #Accerationism
>>

I had totally forgot about Toffler for a few years now. A bit sad to find out he past away a while ago.
>>
>>9927546
Thanks, I'm already fairly familiar with this and Bostroms other works. Was just trying to make this a technology, AI, Cyberculture sort of general and usually the best way to do that is to bring up Land. He really brings out the techlit folks.

I take this back. The new article written by the 3d-printing gun guy was terrible.

I saw Nick Land at a grocery store in Shanghai yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
