Has any of his shit been disproven? Anything I should know before tackling this guy?
This motherfucker blew Socrates the FUCK out for all eternity.

How could he have intentionally blown him out when he was a close follower and wrote all dialogues with him as a character except the Laws? It's also generally said that his early dialogues were the views of Socrates. You must be memeing.

Aristotle's ideas about physical reality have been thoroughly refuted by modern science. Less objectively, his views on slavery and women are commonly held as repugnant by today's normie leftist standards, but might find contrarian defense among the usual contrarian 4chan quarters.
What's left are the more abstract philosophical views (ethics, metaphysics), but even these only hold mostly historical interest.
Aristotle in general is only a historical curiosity, and not to be read seriously if one is in the pursuit of truth.

I don't agree with this perspective, I believe historical perspectives on philosophy and ethics are good insofar that they expose you to what have been considered truths throughout history. I don't see modern philosophy as really being about promoting values which have worked well for people throughout time. I see this as being essential to stay grounded in philosophy for the sake of living a life most would consider better than philosophy for its own sake.
