His reading of that BGE chapter was amateurish at best, and it was costantly interpreted through his ideological lens. As a Nietzscheian he is a LARPer, and although he seems to at least understand the nuances behind the nihilism and relativism of Nietzsche, he never goes beyond referencing them. Since he seems to be a smart guy, I'm pretty sure this is just a facade he put up, and that he probably approaches N in secrecy a la Strauss.
Can't talk for his Jungian knowledge.
