Wittgenstein is the greatest thing to come out of the analytic tradition. Quine a close second.

Godel proved a result that shed additional light on the sorts of axiom systems developed by Russell and others.
He did not invalidate their work, he showed us a funny loophole sort of thing that exists in their systems.

I'm not sure that the incompleteness results have much direct relevance to the logicist program, which was already essentially dead by the time the '30s rolled around. Russell discovered his paradox in 1901 and then showed that you need something equivalent in power to set theory to handle full arithmetic by like 1908, so they had long knew first-order logic alone couldn't cut it.
