Why doesn't that negro use a rolling tray rather then a average sized book to roll their blunt?

The bible heh, just kidding I believe only people with mental illness salute this book

On a real note, probably The Stranger
>>
>>9899461
Why pay for a rolling tray when a perfectly good book is handy?
>>
Kazuo Ishiguro's "Remains of the Day"
>>
East of Eden
>>
Leviathan
>>
The only time I've ever had a meaningful experience while reading was with the Recognitions. I'm not sure I can say with certainty that it made me a better person though
>>
None. Only an anime series has. None of you will ever understand.
>>

which part?

Clannad. Made me want to get my shit together, start working, and eventually start a family.
>>
Beyond traditional self-help books? None. I've had too many varied experiences in my life and too much exposure to brilliant minds and multimedia that a singular book can "Change" my perspective. I can appreciate a good read and definitely understand the author's intention, but if you are so blind to the world that you literally had zero clue about anything that any "Prolific" author has written until you read their book, you are in dire need of an actual life experience.
>>
When I was in 1st grade I read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and my mom was really proud I read a chapter book at that age.
Which made me feel good and I would go on to do fairly well in school especially in regards to English/Composition
Does that count
>>
>>9899442
but books are not supposed to improve people's lives (besides self-help bullshit).
>>
>>9901034
your life is a lie, you are driven to read and achieve because it appeased your mother - not your own true desires
>>
>>9899442

i cant say exactly.. my mind started to change and i read a few books around that time.. perhaps it was Faust. yeah I think it was Faust.
>>
>>9901060
Even if that were true, and I didn't enjoy achieving for my own sake, it's not wrong to do things for people you love.

No books will improve your life. Because life is unfair and unkind, no matter how hard you try. There will always be those who coast through life fall into whatever with ease and have the IQ of a fucking anteater and still be more successful than you. Even those who don't read but pander to the base nature of morons succeed prove how evil this world is.

Peter Mendelsund's design. He tries to put cleverness into his work, it works here and there, but for the Joyce stuff it mostly looks bad.

When I watched all of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z throughout high school it actually encouraged me to push myself further physically and dedicate myself more to music.

Now that I've finished the series and Dragon Ball Super isn't that good, I've become an unmotivated fat fuck.
>>
>>9899442
I don't think any book has improved my life. I only started reading a lot when my life started going to shit, and it seems that things keep getting worse.
