Aside from Nash, what books/authors would you advise to learn some game theory?
Is any of you anons interested in the subject?

Theory of Games and Economic Behavior by von Neumann and Morgenstern
Has anyone here ever read A Beautiful Mind? I've been interested in getting into some biographies of intellectuals that I find inspiring.

Seconded, it's like the movie in any way? Loved it but its more on fighting your inner demons than on game theory
Btw ty for the anon who bumped.

you probably want morgenstern and vonneumann more if you're going to read outdated works. then nash.
you'd be better off reading the 50 odd pages on the standford encyclopedia tho if you're not planning a "history of" type thing. actually reading nash isn't as important as understanding what an NE is

More than for historic purpose I wanna know more about the process itself (coop and coomp) and see how much one can apply this theories to actual human behavior.

Never saw the movie but I want just more of the history and learning how these types of people tick.
You should probably ask this question on /sci/, since you're looking for actual textbooks rather than just historical overviews or other light reading.

If anyone made the /sci/ thread could we maybe import the results here?
