Let's say I've a book I want to scan, and few resources. What would offer the best results? I've a scanner, camera, and pdf programs to work with. Scanner seams obvious, but it's aggressive to the book, so I'm thinking of just photographing the pages and throwing them through ocr, any advices doing that, or anything else?

There are apps for your phone that will help with this. Camscanner is the one that I use but I'm sure they're all the same really. Find a way to keep the phone elevated and stationary and you'll get through it in no time.

Ive done this before. I had to rip the data of a printed directory for work. I sawed off the binding, and put it into an industrial grade scanner like they have at kinkos or most universities.
Then I mailed myself the pdf, and used ABBYY FineReader (which i pirated)

Stumbled on this. Might go building the cardbox one.
