4 and 7 were top tier books. if I had to pick one it'd be 4.

I dont know why but 4 really left an impression on me as best book just because of the emotional impact it had on me at the end.

>1
The twist is still one of the best I ever saw in literature and amazed the fuck out of me.
>2
Meh.
>3
Pretty good but I don't recall any favorite moment, but the movie was so fucking great.
>4
I liked the beginning and the additions but overall it lacked any key moment IMO.
>5
Very bloated but had some of the strongest scenes with Harry getting mad at Dumbledore, and of course Sirius's death.
>6
The beginning was amazing and totally meh afterwards till a solid end.
>7
One of the few books I ever bought. Rather disappointing ending but a fun first read.
So....
1, 5, 6, 3, 7, 4, 2 for me.
When I was younger 3 was my favourite. Looking back I think 4 and 5 were best. I enjoy all the daily school stuff, I could read that shit all day. 4 & 5 had the best regular school content as well as some of the best main storylines. Overall 4 wins for me. It had the mystery of the dark mark, interesting lessons, the winky side-story with dobby in the kitchens, the triwizard event was engaging, and the whole time it felt like Voldemort was a genuine threat (moreso than after he was actually revived).

7 was where it went to shit. 4 was the best.
7 was fucking horrid. 3 was my favorite even though time travel was such a pointless addition to the god damned universe. The last 3 just really fell apart Rowling obviously had no clue what to do with her well established world. She even admits to pairing the mc with the wrong girl.
The 1st is clearly the best, even Gene Wolfe agrees its a good book.
