How can something be enjoyable if you're rushing through it? It can be useful if you're reading a book for school to absorb knowledge, but when reading fiction, you should be reading at a moderate pace.

Thinking in terms of being a slow reader vs a fast reader is baby-tier. You need to grow into a reader who adapts their reading speed based on what they're reading. Sometimes you read slow, sometimes you read fast.

Look up Teddy Roosevelt's tips for fast reading if you want to improve reading speed. He read about 2 or 3 books a day for most of his life.
