Can you expand on that a bit?

you don't need to know a lot of mythology to understand it. a lot of Greek Mythology actually comes FROM Homer. Just know the basic gods and the heroes like Heracles, Orpheus, etc

Toxic ideas huh bro
I'm reading the Iliad myself but there's something I don't quite get.
Why do people run after the corpses of their companions, is it simply to avoid them being robbed or is there something else?
And if it's the first is it to bury the body with dignity or more like a "nuh-huh, that's mine" kind of deal?
