So, are we going to not talk about Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Sam Shepard's passing?
Yeah, it's really bumming me out. I've been meaning to read some of his work for a while now because I'm only familiar with him as an actor. I'm going to watch Days of Heaven later to mourn. Which play should I start with?

Gotta be True West.
Buried Child is some great, heavy shit, but in terms of really tackling the themes that Shepard handles, it doesn't get better than True West.

Not OP. True West is real good. He was a talented writer.
That said, something about that guy. A chad, a good actor *and* a good writer. Sheesh. Well, now he's gone. I guess it all evens out in the end, maybe.
I had NO idea he used to fuck Patti Smith. Crazy.

I hadn't read them. True West worked fine for me standing alone.

I was impressed with Buried Child
and The Curse of the Starving Class

Ignore this REEEEE-tard.
His screenplay work was great, too. Paris, Texas is a masterpiece.

Wow. He really is dead. Bamp.
