Is it worth my time ?
Probably not. Then again this only applies if we're assuming that your time is worth anything and that you aren't a complete waste of air, which isn't the case.

Honestly, if you're not capable to parse a more substantial work by a legitimate philosopher, you'll probably get a lot out of it. Otherwise, you're better off with the canon.
I'm sure that doesn't sound nice, but consider it a judgement-free statement.
Zen altogether isn't worth your time

As a comfy road trip book, it's fine. Philosophically it's not that great, though the McKeon character is pretty much exactly how I imagine McKeon was, except that he would have mopped the floor with Pirsig. The stuff with Pirsig's son was pretty touching as well.
FWIW, Pirsig's "Lila" is better in terms of philosophy (though still not great), but not as good as a road trip book.

Has your dad taught you all the basics on well-being, work ethic and living in a community? If this is not the case, read it. It's contemporary common sense distilled. Since it's common sense, don't trust it blindly, just aknowledge for what it is: something most people (and we're talking about the general population here) would agree on.
If you're socialized and you have no troubles understanding these kind of things, avoid it.
