Yes. At least get a bilingual edition, even if your French is atrocious, and make a half-hearted effort to appreciate the tight metrical structure he employs.
Personally, I prefer his prose poems, since I can't stand reading too many of his alexandrins in one sitting, but perhaps that's just moi.
