I'm about to start this trilogy. Is it good? Overrated?

The first is a fun read. The other two are utter shit.

TGWTDT is a good read with some twists and turns and is a solid mystery novel, but the next two feel more like action movies and less of a mystery series. It's like the first novel is an independent story, and the second and third novel are very intertwined.

I read the first book. It was extremely meh

Yeah, first one is decent. Even if you do hate Swedish feminazism it's captivating at time, the second one is so similair that you can predict the outcome of everything pages ahed, and therefore unneeded.

Stieg was the definition of turgid prose. I'm glad he's dead, but I wish that would stop him from putting out more books.
