i've read a good deal of the canon while studying the history of philosophy and it's been incredible. i'm happy to go back and do it all over, but, at least with philosophy, the marginal gains on this stuff is dropping like a rock.
science has never really interested me, should i check it out? i'm honestly more into reading about hermeticism or something, though from what i've read it's pretty shallow waters. history and politics are a non starter.
what should i assign myself next so that i'm too preoccupied to tackle any of the hard questions about what to do next with my life?

tfw you are reminded why you started self study in the first place
t. shut-in :(
OP I suggest you steer clear of hermeticism. It's just middle ages nonsense, not actual theory. Study electricity and radio. It's not going away anytime soon, and both of these subjects are mad useful in life.

Esotericism in general just gets you thinking in circles, plus no one wants to discuss it except schizos and stoners.

im not looking to give my life to it, just like hearing new metaphysical systems, though all of esotericism seems like some sort of spinoza shit

>thinks he got most of the canonical and philosophical works first reading
absolutely haram. If you don't really care about complete understanding of the works then you can continue on by learning pure math I suppose.
