Abridged or unabridged?

it's difficult to find a truly unabridged, however i read what i recall was an unabridged, (possibly not) and i thoroughly enjoyed it. it's a matter of patience, but after a certain event, things get fairly interesting. it's a book for young people looking for adventure and old men musing over revenge. i was the former and am looking forward to being the latter. i say unabridged. good luck, hope you enjoy it!

I wouldn't read abridged but I'm 70 pages in and there's a few parts already that I skimmed because they seemed completely way too unnecessarily wordy.

Read only the parts in the unabridged edition that are missing in the abridged one. It's the patrician choice.

why would you ever read abridged copies ffs
do you only have 20 minutes a week to read or something?
on a side note the count of monte crisco is quite the enjoyable read, I read it like 5 years ago, the oxford classics ed. and it had a great note section as well as solid intro
Unabridged obviously. Adjust your reading speed accordingly if you find some parts of the novel longwinded. There are many long parts in the book that can't be abridged without significant loss.
