i have the same, read the first book, started the second but stopped early on. started reading it again literally an hour before seeing this thread, wow.
i thought the first one was pretty good but im just too lazy to read which is why i gave up. glad to be starting the second again..i would say give it a try

Loved them as a teenager. They could be a good approach to reading for people who don't. A cousin of mine is reading then right now.
For dadlit it's a pretty fun read. The first one is really dry, but the second gets interesting and the third is legit suspenseful.

Gets bigger in scale the more you read it. And it's not strictly a trilogy. There are more books.
