I liked this, but actually I was sort of let down by the end. I wanted to know more about the stalker. I get that it's scarier that "He could be anyone" but like, how did he live under Dathan's house for so many years? Does he work? What's his name? I don't know, but I guess I was expecting some questions to be answered by his identity that really weren't. His murder-suicide plan was also a little too unrealistic desu.

That's a good point and I agree, I almost find it weird that he was able to devote so much time to stalking a little kid, even living under his house. Like, doesn't he have a job to go to? For someone we know nothing about, he's the most fascinating character in the story.
Still don't get why Dathan's mom didn't just call the police though.
