Especially on anniversary editions. I don't know who the fuck thinks it's a good idea to ruin the ending of the book in the introduction.
Another thing that pisses me off are old movie tie-in paperbacks with stills from the movie bound into the centre of the book. Half the time it shows a still from the last scene of the movie and totally kills the ending. Just happened to me with On the Beach by Nevil Schute.
