Merleau-Ponty is really very good. Coming down off Plato's concept of The Many and The One, his view on perception and identity is exceptionally comfy.

So far, yup. The earlier part of the Signs intro he was ranting against Marxists who still pursue the Soviet brand of communism, despite the indications their ideas had been proven cold lotion. This was 1962 I think. So he's got that going for him.
