>stop making /lit/ threads and start reading. good luck

I have actually started. Reading middlemarch right now.
>>

And look at what I am asking. I am asking for an approach to reading these texts (and in such volume too) - not necessarily their content because that it down to me alone.

Coffee, axe any social life you have, and pray your other courses are light.
>>
>>9756283
>pray your other courses are light.
It's going to be a nightmare, I am gonna be having 3/4 essays per week

>>9756274
Right. Since I know I will not get everything read, which of the greeks should i prioritise?
>>
>>9756221
You're reading all of this in one semester? how many lectures are they holding to cover all this material?
>>
>>9756425
I actually don't know how many lectures will be held but I will get aprox 2 hours of one-on-one per week

I suspect all this material will be split over two semesters

I just won't want to die.
>>
>>9756221
You can skip Heart of Darkness, it's a waste of time.
>>
>>9756221
>he hasn't already read at lesst half of this stuff
Never gonna make it.
>>
>>9756481
I'll just audiobook it
>>
>>9756494
I've already read some. This is just the enire reading list is all. One piece of advice a professor gave me was that it wasn't about the amount of books i've read but more about my critical skills
>>
Okay, so can somebody tell me why they might have assigned any one of these texts for reading?

I know a little bit about the history of the novel already

>Boethius, Consolation of Philosophy (Penguin)
>St Augustine, Confessions

Fuck Penguin, you'll want the Ignatius critical editions. You might want to look into something like Flash Notes, with that you can probably get away with not reading everything.
>>
>>9756542
what is preferable about the ignatious edition?
>>
>>9756686

The notes are better. Don't ask questions, just do as I say.
