Is this book worth a read?
its ok
avoid all of his other books at all costs
if you unironically think Danielewski has merit read Only Revolutions. Its the wankiest piece of fiction I've ever encountered. Emerson Lake and Palmer level wank.
Is it published anywhere as a classic outside of its genre? If not, no.
No.
Read Alasdair Gray if you want to see how to meld creative typography and experimental fiction together, in a way that's actually good and readable.
fuck the haters, I enjoyed it.

Pretty much this but I think HoL is slightly better than ok.
Good lord, Only Revolutions is one of the worst books ever written.

I enjoyed it but couldn't finish it because for some reason it kept putting me to sleep. I didn't find any parts boring enough to have that effect yet I'd fall into a deep sleep every few chapters.

That's the House pulling you down into its abyss.
I still have parts of the book in my memory so that makes it a great read in my view.

scared the shit out of me, kept me from sleeping and made me think there was something in my house so i would say it succeeded
i recommend reading it if you're into being spooked
