It's true though. The body and the mind are both connected to each other, and one cannot truly thrive without the other. Physical exercise helps your brain stay sharp. It increases oxygen to your brain and reduces the risk for disorders that lead to memory loss, such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Exercise also enhances the effects of helpful brain chemicals and reduces stress hormones. Perhaps most importantly, exercise plays an important role in neuroplasticity by boosting growth factors and stimulating new neuronal connections.

I really like videogames. I think they are a great way to tell stories trough a different angle than other mediums, it's just that not all of them really need a story to exist in the first place and are a relatively young medium.

Recommend me one game that does not suffer from trying to be extremely commercial and has a story that is above a below average holywood action/adventure/horror film.
I have played games that have been crowned as extremely outstanding (Half Life 2, Bioshock, Bioshock Infinite) and boundary-pushing, but never have they expanded upon any original or interesting ideas. It seems like the best games are capable of what there is to be found in art forms of questionable quality.

Although I have a friend who say Dark Souls is worse, I think they both rule. Just be prepared for grueling as fuck difficulty if you play Dark Souls. It's not impossible though, because I beat it and I'm the biggest shlub around, and not anything close to a professional or competitive gamer.

Although it is generally true about Nicotine having a minor short term stimulation of speech ability, obviously it's probably better for your brain and ability to write if you just went for a jog.

I think that storytelling through video games is one of the most retarded lost causes in human history but even I'll admit that Nier and Metal Gear Solid 2 are well done. They play in a kind of janky but good Japanese way if that makes sense. Not fluid in the current vidya sense of being absurdly easy and intuitive, but more like those shit-kicking old Megaman and Castlevania games. MGS2 is the Devil May Cry of stealth games.
Also nothing groundbreaking but Dead Rising is one of the best zombie stories across all mediums. Only Lucio Fulci and George Romero ever did better.

Stay forever weak nerd
lately, i cook meals for myself and roommates, walk, drink alone in bars, work the door or sell merch at a music venue for extra cash. i try to do one of the following every day: ride bike, swim, hike. going camping tomorrow. plan to go on a contemplative silent retreat at a nearby monastery for 3-5 days next week before starting my new job. i've been masturbating a lot. i help my roommates at their farm doing things like weeding and planting shit. go to NA meetings because i'm a recovering junkie. try to keep suicidal/depressive thoughts at bay by doing things other than lay in bed. i hope i get these jobs i interviewed for. otherwise i might go downhill again. also, because i have access to Netflix for the first time in a long time, I've been watching old noir movies.

Every winter, since the end of my high school years, I volunteer with the forest service. My best written work arises around that time.
Up until a few months ago, I would religiously play hours upon hours of video games. I stopped cold when I realized that it was a useless hobby, done so to sate yearnings of easy achievement. I'm not saying that you're a degenerate if you enjoy video games, however; if you enjoy it, then so be it. I just wanted to be productive while I pursued the same yearnings, so I started writing short articles that small news outlets pay little amounts for. At least with this "hobby," I can build a solid œuvre.
I also buy broken typewriters off of Craigslist, repair them, and then turn them over for 3x what I put into it.
However, if a Dark Souls 4 or a Bloodborne 2 ever comes out, you can be sure that I'll at least play until NG+5.

Metal Gear Solid 2
>The storyline explores many social, philosophical and cyberpunk themes in great detail, including meme theory, social engineering, sociology, artificial intelligence, information control, conspiracy theories, political and military maneuvering, evolution, existentialism, censorship, the nature of reality, post-truth politics, child exploitation, and taboos such as incest and sexual orientation. Hideo Kojima's ambitious script has been praised, some even calling it the first example of a postmodern video game.

FUARK I do this too so much. It's something about walking at night where everything is so quiet, and the walking that helps me think about things very clearly.

I have only free time for music and occasionally movies. Even /lit/ is something I do most of the times on the way to/from work.
