It is worth it. It's a very fun read. I'm at 848 pages, and I don't regret it at all.

I do have a copy of this in paperback, but is it worth it to just get it for Kindle instead? I'm often moving around, which is one of the reasons why I sort of have always been discouraged from just reading the damn thing.

Bros I dropped this book like 300 pages in. (1) Should I pick it up again and, if so, (2) do I have to restart or can I just resume where I left off.

I would prefer your response to be as long winded as possible.

yes, it's an excellent book and just good fun reading through, lots of little plot holes and puzzles to keep you busy as well as pretty fun characters throughout. If you ever feel yourself in the middle of some obstruse dfw sentence just remember that there are probably at least 2-3 jokes nestled in there somewhere and look for them. The complaints about the book being unreasonably dry or pedantic are made largely by people unwilling to look for the fun it. I still remember it as one of my favorite books

Honestly I have never read it but I bought a copy just because I thought it would be epic to own such a massive book.
