What's with this trend of people who can't grasp how to read a fucking book? If you're literate you should be able to do it with ease. Instead people are acting as if it's some sort of skill that needs to be harnessed and refined. Just fucking read

These people don't want to read a book, they want to Read a Book(tm). Or, more directly, they want to experience a feeling of having Read a Book(tm)ness dreamed up and propagated by people in suits and ties in a boardroom somewhere who will do everything of short of publish a book because once that Book(tm) is Read they'll have lost their audience - so they sell the experience by tangential degrees, which their audience (having never read a book) mistake for Read-ing a Book(tm).
