this order is probably the best one. I might switch demons and c&p but they're all brilliant. Poor Folk at number 6 though obviously.

In what order should I read him? I was going to start with Brothers K, is this a good idea?

Made this mistake. Definitely do not start with Brothers K. You will enjoy it so much more if you read it last, or at least once you have a few of Dosto's work under your belt like what >>9720170 said. It still is a fantastic book when I first read it, but I enjoyed it so much more a second time after reading the rest of Dosto's novels.

Who is the best translator?

I think Demons is underrated, glad to see that /lit/ appreciates it.

When I opened this thread I thought someone would list a couple of translations of the same work and then another work.
Summing it up I'm disappointed and too lazy to look up translations.
