That reading is pretty cool and helps with loneliness and you learn amazing things and the more you read the better you get at it. Your comprehension of the subject matter goes up, your vocabulary increases, you get to share interesting things you've learned with friends and family and get to use the knowledge in meaningful ways in your life.

I've learned more from reading one book than I did browsing 4chan for 4 years. All you have to do is read. Even 10 pages per day/3650 pages per year, and you are light years ahead of the human population. I know people who have not picked up a book since school, and they are all morons. Every single fucking time, EVERY single time I find someone IRL that is highly intelligent and clever, they READ. They have a BOOK SHELF LOADED WITH BOOKS, and they READ EVERY DAY.

Read! It's fucking fun you pathetic assholes. It's by far the best thing you can do along with exercise and eating well.

50 pages per day is 18,250 pages per year. I guarantee you 99% of the human population doesn't do this. Even reading textbooks, you can crank out a solid 10 per day, so ~5 big textbooks front to back every year.

It's so obvious once you start that it's what separates the idiots from the clever people, you'll feel like a moron for not doing it sooner and/or hate your parents for not making you read while you were younger.

What textbooks do you like senpai?
I got some really good ones out of the college library, but some of them and the ones I got by other means focus too much on details or have information I already digested
People like to shit on Wikipedia but sometimes it has the exact same information as textbooks have
But I guess it is because those were essentials or overviews and I need more indepth and specific information

I have a Phd in English literature as I've spent 20+ years solely devoted to academics and reading. The greatest thing which reading regularly taught me is that Avalon is Roxy Music's best album and Bryan Ferry perfectly embodies the early 80's art rock aesthetics.
