The language that can be written is not the eternal language.
The unwritten is the mother of tongue and speech.
The written is the mother of ten thousand books.
Synchronically, one can see its system.
Diachronically, one can see its history.
These two spring from the same source but differ in sign;
this appears as formlessness.
Formlessness within formlessness.
