Does literature/poetry have the possibility to convey truths that are inexpressible in other mediums (e.g. science, philosophy, other artistic mediums), or is does the value of literature depend solely on its aesthetic qualities? is the knowledge obtained from literature/poetry "the profoundest form of knowledge" as Heidegger and Wittgenstein said, or pseudo philosophy?

Poetry is the highest form language, and through that profundity can be generate, but so can elegant ornaments.

I think literature is unique in its capacity to convey profound human realities. Take Hamlet. The play is hinged on the distinction between man the animal and man the civilized creature of the court. It's the situation of a pride of lions. When the alpha is killed and replaced the younger cub is threatened with extermination. The females of course are utterly passive and helpless. The younger male must act on his own. Must for conscience sake avenge his father's murder, and kill his own uncle. No scientific treatise (even Frued etc) could ever convey this as potently as Shakespeare did in the form of a play.
>>
if literature had no higher truths to convey, a summary would be sufficient
>>
these are just questions they ask on the history channel to get the noggin jogging you're going to be really depressed with the answers unless you smoke regularly or do drugs
>>
Written science and philosophy are literature.

In response to OP, absolutely, and it happens in particular examples where form and content are fused or nearly inseparable. C.f Joyce's Finnegans Wake, much poetry, the Waves by Virginia Woolf, idk forget all the /lit/ lists and pick up a Booker Prize winning novel and give it a shot, something like Midnight's Children

if the words "form" and "content" and their being next to each other confuses you, then read Nietzsche's Birth of Tragedy or watch the Yale lit theory course on youtube bruh bruh
