I am going for a trip into the Sierra Nevadas this weekend and I need something to read. What would you suggest for reading "inna woods"? I already assume John Muir and the transcendentalists will be in that category.

if your a liberal or a women i hope you get eaten by a bear :D
what's the point of camping if you're going to have your nose in a book the entire time.

oh my god I agree with you so much like lit doesn't know anything until they've read goethe underneath the cedars of the inland northwest

Real men don't read books, they spit, fart, and beat up women and homeless people
so about those innawoods books.

unironically no better than bringing a gameboy.

>muir and transcendentalists are too on the nose
I was thinking the same thing. Muir may as well be the patron saint of the Sierra Nevadas bu I can't help but think there is something incredibly basic about reading his stuff up there.

No matter what, at some point you wind up tired and doing jackshit at the campsite. Its just nice to have a book to fall back on, and few thing are as relaxing as a comfy book in the woods.

what gameboy games do you recommend taking

>real men read the poetry of Friedrich Hölderlin in the woods
seconding this, make sure you stand at the edge of a cliff or in front of the sea and recite "An die Parzen" or wander through the woods while bawling out "Die Eichenbäume" at the top your lung
