Lord of the Rings Blue Wizards.

/Lit/ what are their real names, what was their mission, and did they succeed in said hypothetical mission? From what I've read they seem pretty badass, but Tolkien wrote some contradictory stuff on them.

Wasn't it that they disappeared in the eastern regions (somewhere in Harad)?

I remember something about their followers beginning a cult of the blue wizards or something too, but that's about all the info Tokien provides for them.
