Sea of Glory by Nathaniel Philbrick is an enjoyable non-fiction book.
It is written with a certain amount of bravado which allows it to read as a work of fiction, but it is infact not.

I tried just reading what I found in the town library.
Biomedical Ethics, Brief History of Time, Power and Love, Devil in the White City. I really like the last one but I could never finish it, it just died down in the middle and stopped being interesting.
