You read all his other ones first. That's the mic drop
page 1 is a good place to start
It's lighter than Crime and Punishment imho. Just takes longer.

Its going to seem even longer when.you get to the Stinky Priest section
crazy to think that today's teenage atheists are smarter than dostoevsky

No, Crime and Punishment is an easy read, I read it when I was 16 easly. I had some difficulties with references and philosophies on 22 with BK.
That edition is like 715 pages.

yes. also smarter than aristotle, augustine and aquinas
this generation, huh? he he
read this instead
I have it right here. It's 776 pages. Just try to forget about page numbers and get immersed in it.
My edition is about 770 pages and i read from about 654 to 693 yesterday night. Boring crap, lmao. I'm completely fine with the plot or character motivations making no sense at this point, completely 100 % fine. Just stop being so fucking boring and long winded.
At this point I am hoping for long monologues, 100 % srs, give me something to think about it the writing is shit and the plot is doing fuck all. Dostoevsky is standing next to lots of pools and barely tipping his toe in to them, and you guys pretend he is Michael Phelps. Fucking lol.
It's clear Dostoevsky had no fucking clue why he had the narrator be a person. He barely did anything with it.
