it's the greatest book I've ever read hands down. not just the craft of it but how it hits you.

Just wanted to say I really like this book as well, the amount of symbolism and meaning is crazy and the writing is amazing, great book I 100% agree. So far it's my favorite book as well.

I found it rather drab and dull. And the lack of punctuation doesn't help.

I love this book.

Greatest ever is a bit of a stretch though, you definitely need to keep reading more.

If a novel wants to take itself super seriously, that's fine, but it needs to be more than some edgy western tale about scalpin' injuns.

This is just some unimaginative, self-important novelist riffing on "survival of the fittest" and aping literary darlings. If you're gonna try and evoke The Holy Fucking Bible with your novel, you better fucking deliver, otherwise you get some ridiculous pablum like The Evening Redness in the West.
