Who wants to tackled Capital this summer? This group will read the entire book, discuss it as a book and not argue too much over if it is right or wrong, the purpose is to learn the ideas and get some historical context.
Everything will be prepared for you, all this group needs from you is your commitment and your participation. You can join in and leave as you please, the schedule will be a 7 week schedule so there won't be any problems with keeping up, even if you get behind.
Supplementary material will be found and posted on the day of discussion in the thread (same picture will be used for all threads- pic related) or if we can keep the thread alive daily, then that would be cool to post stuff throughout the week to get more people:
(Class 01 Reading Marx's Capital Vol I with David Harvey) - this is a 1 /13 series of videos discussing the book you can watch if you need a break or don't feel like reading on that day to help through the read if you wish (YT)
Pic related is what i will be using but:
https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/download/pdf/Capital-Volume-I.pdf
this pdf has the same thing as a hard copy so you can read the pdf with no problem.
Launch date will be today:
Tuesday June 13th
that means that you will have until Sunday (to get a hard copy if you choose) and to read Chapters 1( commodities) and stopping at Chapter 4(this is the beginning of part 2) - transformation of money into capital), the group will skip the different prefaces.
If you have suggestions about things please post them but the schedule will not be changed, have fun lads.

I wish you well with this enterprise but tbqh I want to read Wealth of Nations first and I have a backlog of math projects i want to get serious about so meh.
I've been floating a similar idea about Habermas' Theory Of Communicative Action, but that has its own background reading as well.
Hm, maybe I'll just say fuck it and jump in.
