ITT: greatest twists in literature

desu Chasm City has a pretty excellent twist that I genuinely didn't expect until the protagonist started to have suspicions. Then the counter-twist also threw me for a loop. It all seemed to tie together pretty well in the end. It was like a more literate version of Total Recall.
