I'm writing both a diary of thoughts and a novel. I don't want my work to be splitted. I would like to make a single work. How can I do?

Honestly, no. There is a central theme in the novel, while the thoughts are so different one from the other. My idea is to treat the diary like a work of my entire life, while the novel is based on a particular moment.
