How much better is this than Mother Courage? Didn't care for it.

Favourite book = David Copperfield by the guy who kept me sane during my shitty teen years, Dickens.

Reading Brecht is pointless. Half his brilliance is in the flexibility he leaves for the performers to play around with stage design and movement. I recommend checking out if there are any local performances in your area.

Also, Threepenny Opera is a better political play with a clear message, and Mother Courage is a better tragedy and character study. Even though the former is supposed to be his masterpiece, I enjoyed Mother Courage more. Incidentally, that was probably in large part due to the direction.
