Hey /lit/. Is Mein Kampf worth a read?
>>
go back to /pol/ nazi
>>
>>9620610
I'm not. never been to /pol/. I thought it looked like an interesting read. thanks for your input.
>>
I tried it, it started out with some romantic reminiscing of a mediocre childhood.

Got bored and quit. For some reason great leaders make boring writers. Same was true for Napoleon.
>>
>>9620559
it is actually quite boring and dull, Hitler sure wasn't a talented writer
>>
>>9620559
if you're into the wwii you should definitely read it
>>
>>9620559
It's pretty good considering the conditions he wrote it under and his complete lack of expertise in writing. The man was no doubt a genius of many talents.
>>
>>9620610
>>9620631
>>9620632
Try the redpill.
Hitler was one of the greatest minds of all time, and he's infinitely more insightful than any leftist cucks whose ever written books on society and the problems the white man faces
>>
>>9620559
There's a reason why even most /pol/acks haven't read it

It's retarded and it shows that Hitler is retarded
>>
>>9620631
>>9620632
Ah i see. Thanks for your feedback! anything else?
>>9620676
I am more interesting in the propaganda, political figureheads, and motivations of the era more than the actual war itself!

>>9621392
I see. He seems like he has a lot to share.

>>9621406
>>9621409
Two conflicting points. I think that it's improbable that someone 'retarded' could attain the power and influence that he did. He knew something i didn't.
>>
On the downlow. Seriusly, dont get it at a library or use a credit card, it WILL flag you.

Some interesting points he makes in his writing, dunno how many are in MK, but his discussion about manipulating political rhetoric to confuse the opposition voters is critical reading. Our President studied Hitlers writings extensively (presented to him by a Jewish friend, he claimed)

I'm sorry, but I can't take anyone who uses the word fuck in their argument seriously.
>>
>>9621978
thats not bad
>>
>>9621978
lol
>>
I haven't read it, but from my understanding I would only suggest reading it if you're genuinely interested in Hitler's thought process
>>
>>9620559
Always wanted to read it myself, but quite difficult to get your hands on a good copy as a germanfag.
This guy managed to convince a population which survived one of the most horrid wars of all time to start another one, you do not have to agree with him, but he certainly had a good head on his shoulders. I am sure there is something worth reading in this one.
>>
>>9620559
do you want to hate every single aspect of the modern world and humanity?
>>
>>9624043
>implying i don't already
>>
>>9621486
How do you know that it will flag you? I doubt very much that anyone cares about edgy autists reading mein kampf.
>>
>>9621978
wtf I love Hitler now
>>
>>9620559
Table Talk is better
>>
>>9623919
It's an understatement to say he had a good head. He was a destitute nobody who rose to the world's stage in a time and place that permitted almost no social mobility--absolute genius wether you like him or not.

Sure he was mad, but what genius isn't? Our children should all study his works alongside all the other great minds who changed history that we revere. To deny everyone the opportunity to come to their own conclusions about his ideas and actions from his and other sympathetic perspectives is profoundly illiberal.
>>
>>9621978
Pretty good.
>>
>>9621978
Why was he arguing with so many Jews?
>>
>>9624390
The jews were relevant in the communist movements, the infamous treaty of Versailles, banking and publishing industries. Whenever you attempt to change the society, you meet jews.
King of the hill.
>>
>>9620559
I haven't read all of it but apparently the Ralph Manheim translation is great. He keeps all of Hitler's original grammatical errors, very little is edited from the original text.
>>
>>9624390
He spent some time in a poor house while scraping by selling painted postcards in...Vienna, I think? That's when he first started arguing about politics, basically interjecting himself into discussions and getting on his soapbox. So basically he's self righteously greentexting about how the average poor person doesn't debate well.
>>
>>9624390
Germany had a pretty serious Jew problem between WWI and WWII. They're were quite a few, and they occupied many places of power.
>>
>>9620559
Nope, but it has other fine uses. Like if you run out of toilet paper you can use it as a substitute, or if your cold it makes for great kindling.

The possibilities, are endless, unlike Hitlers pathetic life
>>
The parallels with our present times are pretty crazy. If you've been /pol/ for a while, this is the book that pushes people to make that final jump and call themselves a national socialist
>>
>>9620559
No. Stop being an edgy try-hard, go outside and try and meet some women or something...
>>
>>9620559
No. Fucking go back to /pol/. No one in the fucking real world seriously talks about this poorly written, boorish, tedious bullshit.

He was bullshitting out of stoicism and a desire to keep his message positive.
>>
>>9624053
>post-war propaganda
I don't trust in testimonies gotten through torture.
>>
>>9627702
Consider this attitude towards communist books. You resemble eerily the fascists you so claim to hate.
>>
>>9623919
>one of the most horrid wars of all time
No true btw
>>
BTW there's an interesting book that compares Hitler with Napoleon. It's called Napoleon and Hitler. Another pro-read Fuhrer book is the Power of Aesthetics.
>>
>>9621419
>didn't.
What have you learned, anon? Tell us of your wisdom
>>
I've read a few excerpts, he writes like a bogbilly.

Also:

>failed to convince poland to join the axis
>failed to destroy france
>failed to swing the hammer at dunkirk
>failed to force spain's hand
>failed to force finland's hand
>failed to use chemical weapons on russians

Hitler is a mess.
>>
>>9621978
>>9624187
Sure, but the thing is the extensive hyperbole and other rhetorical embellishment works for speeches, or even shorter manifestos, but Mein Kampf is the size of a healthy novel. I also don't know how translations treat his errors, but his grasp on German was less than perfect.
If you had to judge it as literature you would have to say it was masturbatory sentimental dogshit in the grand total, but it's interesting at least. The new critical edition gives you a lot of backstory and behind-the-scenes stuff if you can read German.
>>
>>9628272
>>9629046
Why are you obsessed with hating on Hitler? Jesus.
>>
>>9629067
OP asks if it's worth a read, his prose blows and reading Mein Kampf is a fucking chore, if you want to suck his dick you can go to /his/ or /pol/
>>
>>9629089
I'm not from /pol/. I just think you're an effeminate little woman who is hating on Hitler to can demonstrate how correctthink you are. It's sad.

Germans are the most pussified people on Earth.
>>
>>9629089
It's actually not even prose. Hitler just dictated it and Rudolf Heß tried to write everything down as nicely as possible.
>>
>>9620559
If for nothing else than historical importance, yes.
What I find fascinating is Hitler stated very clearly exactly what he thought and wanted and planned and yet his contemporaries were surprised when he actually did those things and current writers spill a lot of ink wondering >'what did Hitler want? Why did he do those things?'
He told you!

Either your reading comprehension is impaired or you're trying to pick a fight, and I'm not even German
>>
>>9629198
Why should we even take your opinion on Hitler's German seriously, then?
>>
It's spelled Min Kamp. And yeah, it's a masterpiece

I read German at an okay level, and in any case I know grammar, also it's not just mine, I can refer you to the critical edition mentioned here >>9629046, it's very thorough, his contemporary nazi compadres are also quoted with less than positive opinions.
You haven't contributed much, but you don't need to because I'm so above your level it hurts.
>>
Checked it out in high school from the school library. I couldn't make it through the 50 page translators notes that just went on and on about how horrible a writer he was. How he used a word in German that's the equivalent of "uhhh" but you can write into a sentence. I guess like the word "that" in some English cases of its use. I returned it promptly. I bet I'm on a list somewhere now.
>>
>>9629423
karl ove pls go, you're a pale imitator
>>
>>9629440
So you have no idea what you're talking about and you're just lapping up and parroting the opinions of the (((scholars))) behind the """""""critical edition""""""". Thanks for making that clear.
>>
>>9620632
He sure as fuck was amazing speaker and whoever wrote his speeches (was it Goebbels) fucking knew what he was talking about.

Jews betrayed Germanvolk in the first world war. This is not even a conspiracy theory as official records between England and community of Kikes exist.
>>
>>9629522
>>9624390
You don't have to look any further than the leaders of the communist insurgency in Germany in the interwar period. They were 90% Jewish, and their actions led to a bloody civil war that is barely ever mentioned for (((some reason))).
>>
>>9629441

Which high school do you go to that allows NatSoc lit?
>>
>>9629595
It was available in mine as well... What back woods redneck school did you go to that didn't allow for literature based in alternative viewpoints?
