Buttesex lol
It's really a very funny book. Most accurate "dystopian" imo. Moreso than 1984 or BNW it describes how control functions on basic assumptions about reality itself Burroughs is well worth getting into. He's like a sci-fi Foucault.

That was cool, its almost like the coherent version of NL

Where would you go with Burroughs from here?

Try Interzone, since it's essentially the early version of Naked Lunch (and a lot more cohesive, since it's mostly short stories).
Then you have The Nova trilogy, which is far more challenging than NL. The Red Night trilogy is an healthy balance between the two.
If you're curious on his afterword about his experiences with drugs, read The Yage Letters.
If the satire in NL proves too difficult, try The Wild Boys.
Junky also touches in a lot of the themes in NL and some of it's characters even appear there (like the drug dealer at the end of the Hauser and O'Brien chapter). It's writing style is radically different though.
